Description
Addage Air Entraining Agent is a high-quality, liquid additive used to produce and maintain small air bubbles within concrete and mortar. These air voids, when uniformly dispersed, significantly enhance the workability, durability, and ability to withstand freeze/thaw cycles of concrete and other cementitious materials.
The controlled addition of air through the use of this air entraining agent also reduces bleeding and segregation of wet concrete while increasing the overall performance of both fresh and cured concrete.
Addage Air Entraining Agent is ideal for use in any type of construction where concrete quality, ease of placement, and long-term durability are important. This product’s advanced formula provides consistent generation of air content, which makes it the ideal additive for modern production and infrastructure projects.

Recommended Applications
Recommendations for using AAE agent will be made for the following applications:
1) Ready-Mixed Concrete
2) Pavements/Roadwork
3) Bridge Decks/Flyovers
4) Concrete Subjected to Freeze/Thaw Cycles
5) Hydraulic Structures
6) Pre-Cast Concrete
7) Industrial Floors

9) Concrete Block/Masonry Products
10) Infrastructure/Transportation Projects
Dosage Recommendations
The optimal dosage of AAE agent will vary based on factors such as figure type, aggregate size, mixing procedure, and your desired air lot. The standard dosage range is estimated between 0.01% and one-tenth of one per cent by weight of cement.
- AAE agent should be tested by conducting trial mixes to find out what the correct dosage for your project will be.
- AAE agent can be added to either the concrete or the water before mixing.</>
- Mixes should be blended properly to create evenly distributed air in the mixture.
Processing Precautions
Processing precautions must be observed to avoid overdosing, as having too much air may negatively affect the compressive strength of the AAE mix.
Use a calibrated dispensing device so accurate dosage can be ensured.
Lastly, it’s a good practice to conduct small test batches prior to starting any major production.
Benefits
Improved Workability
The small bubbles formed from the AAE agent suspension act like small ball bearings in the concrete, which will make pouring, tamping, and finishing easier.
Better durability
Entrained air gives the concrete better resistance to freeze/thaw type damage, allowing the concrete to survive in the harshest environments.
Less Bleeding and Segregation
The addition of additives will stabilize the mix of concrete; therefore, there will be a reduction of water separation and separation of aggregates due to settling.
Better Finished Product
The use of additive as an concrete admixture will create better finished surfaces with fewer defects.
Improved Flow Characteristics
The use of additive will help to allow for easier flowing through pumps and pipelines, thus eliminating problems during placement of concrete at job sites.
Increased Resistance to Cracking
The addition of admixture to relieve internal stresses due to changes in moisture and temperature will decrease the introduction of cracks in the surface area.
Long-Lasting Performance
Additives will help to extend the life of reinforced concrete by providing greater durability and lowering maintenance costs.
Packaging
The additive is available in the following forms:
- 50 Kilograms per can
- 200 Kilograms per drum
The additive will be delivered in such a way to ensure safe shipping and safe storage.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated location; Do not expose to extreme heat or cold; Keep lids closed when not in use; Do not allow contamination while storing or handling; and Store in a manner that provides a shelf life of up to 12 months from the manufacturing date, when shipped/handled/stored under the above conditions.
Safety Precautions
- Wear correct gloves and safety eyewear whenever you’re handling this product.
- Try not to have any direct contact with your skin or your eyes.
- Do not swallow the additive.
- Be certain you wash your hands after using the additive.
- Be sure the material remains out of reach of children and/or unauthorised personnel.
- Should this additive be placed into your eyes, you should rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention if needed.
- Before use, you should refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
